NACAS has joined forces with the Care Workers Charity  to work together to become a powerful voice for care workers in the social care sector.

Founded in 2009, the  objective of  the Care Workers Charity was to support current and former care workers with one off crisis grants . IN 2018 they awarded over £150, 000 in grants  to almost 400 care workers.

In March 2020 our former CEO Karolina Gerlich joined Care Workers Charity to become its new executive director. Karolina's remit is to lead the CWC in developing work on  policy and  campaigning, including research and the Professional Care Workers Day. We at NACAS are delighted to  be able to continue working with Karolina in these very important areas.

COVID-19 Crisis Grants

Care Workers are at the front line of the coronavirus crisis, caring for society's most vulnerable and most susceptible to the disease. If a care worker needs to self-isolate, they will fall into desperate need. CWC have  set up a Just Giving  campaign to raise  fund s to support care workers at this most difficult of times. Many of us may need the help of a care worker at some point in our lives, now it s our turn to help them.

Any help you can give will be most appreciated. Click this link to find out more and how you can help.
